Matthew Spring plays a wide range of lutes, both as a soloist and as a founder member of several successful ensembles.  Matthew is an expert on the instrument and has written books and articles on many different facets of the lute, and its long history stretching back to the Middle Ages.  He has performed all over the world in a career that started in 1992.
